TaskGenie Cancellation Policy
At TaskGenie, we understand that plans can change and you may need to cancel a task request. We aim to make the cancellation process as straightforward as possible while ensuring that our TaskGenie Service Pros are fairly compensated for their time and effort. Please review our comprehensive cancellation policy below before submitting a task request.
1. Task Cancellation by the Customer:
a. More than 24 Hours Before Scheduled Start Time:
- If a customer cancels a task request more than 24 hours before the scheduled start time, there will be no cancellation fee.
b. Less than 24 Hours Before Scheduled Start Time:
- If a customer cancels a task request less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time, the customer will be charged a cancellation fee of 50% of the task price.
c. After the TaskGenie Service Pro Has Arrived:
- If a customer cancels a task request after the TaskGenie Service Pro has arrived at the job site, the customer will be charged the full price of the task.
2. Task Cancellation by the TaskGenie Service Pro:
a. More than 24 Hours Before Scheduled Start Time:
- If a TaskGenie Service Pro cancels a task request more than 24 hours before the scheduled start time, there will be no cancellation fee.
b. Less than 24 Hours Before Scheduled Start Time:
- If a TaskGenie Service Pro cancels a task request less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time, the customer will be notified immediately. TaskGenie will make every effort to find a replacement TaskGenie Service Pro. If a replacement is found, there will be no cancellation fee. If a replacement is not found, the customer will receive a full refund.
c. After Arriving at the Job Site:
- If a TaskGenie Service Pro cancels a task request after arriving at the job site, the customer will receive a full refund.
3. Payment Refunds:
a. Applicable Cancellation Fees:
- If a cancellation fee is applicable, the customer will be refunded the remaining amount after the deduction of the cancellation fee.
b. Advance Payments:
- If a customer has paid for a task in advance, and the task is cancelled by either the customer or the TaskGenie Service Pro, the customer will be refunded the full amount paid.
4. Exceptions:
a. Force Majeure Events:
- In cases of force majeure events such as natural disasters or other unforeseeable circumstances beyond the control of TaskGenie or the TaskGenie Service Pro, the cancellation policy may be waived.
